Popular entertainer DJ Cuppy announces social media break ahead of 21-day Biblical fast

The FrontierThe FrontierJanuary 5, 2026 870 Minutes read0

Nigerian disc jockey and philanthropist Ifeoluwa Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has announced that she will be taking a temporary break from social media as she prepares to begin a 21-day biblical fast in 2026.

The entertainer made the announcement via her Instagram stories, revealing that the decision marks a significant change for her, as she rarely stays offline. According to DJ Cuppy, the move comes after weeks of personal reflection, during which she realized she needed the fast “more than ever.”

“I need time for myself and time being hidden with God,” she shared, emphasising the importance of stepping away to focus on her spiritual and personal well-being.

DJ Cuppy also reassured her followers not to worry, explaining that she is okay and simply taking time to process a few personal matters quietly. She acknowledged that the break may feel unusual to fans due to her consistent daily presence on Instagram.

The DJ concluded by confirming that the hiatus is temporary, stating that she will return after taking time to reset and reconnect.

The announcement has since drawn supportive reactions from fans and followers, many of whom praised her for prioritizing faith, rest, and self-care.
