JUST IN: Embattled Nollywood actress Regina Daniels undergoes drug test

The FrontierThe FrontierJanuary 7, 2026 3641 Minutes read0

•Actress Regina Daniels

Following the widely reported claim by her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, that he’s bent on rehabilitating his wife, Regina Daniels from effects of hard drugs, the embattled actress has, on her own, decided to undergo a drug test.

The actress has also opened up on the emotional challenges she faced in recent months, describing the period as a major turning point in her life.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, the actress addressed rumours and allegations that trailed her, particularly claims that she was a drug addict, and explained why she decided to take a drug test to put the matter to rest.

According to Regina Daniels, the past few months felt overwhelming, a season that tested her strength and shook her deeply.

She revealed that everything she once knew seemed to be “drowning” before her eyes, but she survived the moment because of the love and support she received from her family, friends, and members of the public.

Reflecting on the experience, the actress said “I decided to take this test because I owe it to the people who stood by me, the people who love me, and the people who look up to me. Integrity matters. Accountability matters. Peace of mind especially matters.”

She emphasised that “integrity matters” and that accountability and peace of mind were key reasons behind her action.

Addressing the widespread allegation that she was a drug addict, Regina admitted she initially paused and questioned the narrative being pushed about her, explaining that after deep self-reflection, she realised that many people project their fears, insecurities, and negativity onto others, stressing that “projection is not reality, and noise is not truth.”

The actress further stated that she has chosen to create her own narrative rather than be defined by public opinion, also describing this new phase of her life as a chapter of self-discovery, growth, and intentional living.

Regina concluded by expressing gratitude to God for His grace and strength, noting that her faith carried her through the difficult period.

She affirmed that she is still standing, still growing, and just getting started, ending her message on a confident note that signals resilience, renewal, and a renewed sense of purpose.
