Alleged murder of pregnant woman: Transport workers union leader MC Oluomo fights back, petitions Police over viral video

•MC Oluomo

The President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Mr. Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya (aka MC Oluomo), has passionately appealed to the Police authorities to discreetly investigate an allegation of murder levelled against him by one Siyan Akinsanya.

Siyan Akinsanya had in a viral video on Facebook alleged witnessing MC Oluomo murdering a pregnant woman and burying her, alongside the unborn baby, in the Oshodi area of Lagos, an allegation MC Oluomo has vehemently denied, describing it as part of a ploy by his detractors to incite the public against him, reports The Nation.

To press his demand for Police investigation into what he termed gross defamation of character, the transport unionist, through his solicitor, Felix Abraham, Esq, petitioned the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Federal Intelligence Department (FID).

The petition dated March 30, 2026, was titled: “Criminal Intimidation, Assassination of Character, Threatening Violence, Giving Public/Police False Information, Membership of Unlawful Gang, and Inciting Public Peace.”

‎Describing his client as a bonafide citizen of Nigeria, law-abiding, a youth leader, and President of the National Union of Road Transport Worker Association, the solicitor noted that his client has in the recent time been attacked by forces loyal to his opponents, fabricating all sorts of lies and falsehood against him, all in a bid to tarnish his image.

The petition partly reads that “The above person went on social media (Facebook) to broadcast in a life video that our client committed an act of homicide – that he witnessed him burying a pregnant woman and the unborn baby, using them for rituals. He also vowed to take Police to the cite of burial at Oshodi in Lagos State.”

To this end, MC Oluomo has, through the petition, called on the Police authorities to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the serious allegation by inviting the said Siyan Akinsanya to take Police operatives to the said burial cite, and exhume the corpses.
