The National President of the Association of Public Procurement Practitioners of Nigeria (APPON), today presented the Fellowship Award and Certificate to the Director of Administration, who is Acting Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Plateau State, Mrs. Christiana Lankat Yilbial, at her office in Jos.
The association was represented by the Director of Media and Publicity Comrade Ralph Ogunsanya, accompanied by members of the APPON Plateau State Chapter.

The presentation, described as colourful and memorable, took place in the presence of Mrs. Yilbial’s management team who gathered at the BPP Boardroom for the occasion.
The delegation was warmly received, and the atmosphere was marked by professional camaraderie and mutual respect.
Mrs. Yilbial expressed deep gratitude to the National President and the National Executive Council (NEC) of APPON for recognising her worthiness for the Fellowship within just one year of her appointment. She described the award as both inspiring and a reaffirmation of her commitment to excellence.

“I am truly grateful to the National President and the NEC of APPON for finding me worthy of this recognition within one year in my office. This award motivates me to put my best into service delivery and ensure that transparency, accountability, and value for money remain my watchwords in all procurement processes in Plateau State,” said Yilbail.
The Director of Media and Publicity I, representing the National President, commended Mrs. Yilbial for her leadership and integrity in advancing public procurement standards in Plateau State.
He emphasised that the Fellowship recognises not only individual achievement but also the broader impact of ethical procurement on public service delivery and national development.
According to Ogunsanya, APPON remains committed to fostering professionalism, capacity building, and ethical governance in public procurement across Nigeria. “The Association continues to work closely with state-level BPP offices to strengthen procurement systems and promote Value for Money in all public expenditures,” he said.
