Bobrisky: Court orders Verydarkman to remove defamatory posts on Falana, Falz

•Falana, Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan

The Lagos State High Court has ordered Martin Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, a controversial social media critic, to remove defamatory comments and videos involving lawyer and human rights activist Femi Falana (SAN) and his son, rapper Folarin Falana (Falz).

Justice M.O. Dawodu made the ruling on Monday, October 14, 2024, in suit no: ID/8584/GCM/2024, reports Nigerian Tribune.

The case stemmed from publications made by VeryDarkMan on September 24, 2024, linking Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky to the Falanas.

The court determined that the statements were false and intended to harm the public image of both Femi Falana and Falz.

Justice Dawodu stated, “According to the applicants (Falz and Falana), the defendant (VeryDarkMan) knew these statements were false and untrue but proceeded to publish them to injure their reputation.

“Furthermore, the defamatory statements are still trending on the defendant’s social media platforms, and the injury to their reputation continues as long as the publication remains online.”
