BREAKING: Federal Road Safety Corps recruiting: HOW TO APPLY

The FrontierThe FrontierJuly 1, 2026 1623 Minutes read0

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the commencement of its 2026 recruitment exercise, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for vacancies across various cadres within the organisation.

In a recruitment notice issued by the Corps, the application portal is scheduled to open on Friday, July 3, 2026, and will remain accessible for 4 weeks on the agency’s official recruitment platform.

The notice, dated June 24, was signed by the Deputy Corps Marshal and Head of Administration and Human Resources, Pauline Olaye, on behalf of the Corps Marshal, reports The Nation.

The FRSC stressed that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge, cautioning prospective applicants against making any payments to individuals or groups for employment opportunities.

“Application is free and attracts no cost,” the notice stated.

Here is how to apply:

Interested applicants are required to submit their applications through the FRSC’s official recruitment portal from Friday, July 3, 2026. The application window will remain open for four weeks.

Applicants are advised to use their personal email addresses and phone numbers during registration. The corps added that shortlisted candidates would be required to present printed copies of their completed application forms during the screening exercise.

“Applications must be submitted online within four (4) weeks with effect from Friday, 3rd July, 2026,” the notice added.

The recruitment exercise covers three major categories: Officer Cadre, Marshal Inspectorate Cadre and Road Marshal Assistant Cadre.

Categories and requirements

For the Officer Cadre, vacancies are available for Superintendent Route Commanders, Route Commanders/Deputy Route Commanders and Assistant Route Commanders.

The Corps said professionals, including medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, medical laboratory scientists, lawyers, engineers and graduates with B.Sc., BA or HND qualifications, are eligible to apply for positions within the cadre, depending on the specific role. Applicants must generally be between 18 and 35 years of age.

Under the Marshal Inspectorate Cadre, holders of NCE, ND/OND, Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife and Community Health Extension Worker qualifications are eligible to apply. Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years old.

The Road Marshal Assistant Cadre is open to applicants with a minimum of three credits in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), including English Language and Mathematics.

The Corps also invited artisans and skilled workers, including computer operators, mechanics, electricians, plumbers, tailors, motorcycle riders and drivers, to apply, provided they possess the relevant trade qualifications and licences.

Applicants seeking driver and rider positions must possess the appropriate class of valid driver’s licence, while articulated vehicle and tow-truck drivers must be between 26 and 40 years old.

Requirements

The FRSC outlined several conditions that applicants must satisfy before applying.

According to the notice, applicants must be Nigerian by birth, computer-literate, medically fit, and single. They are also expected to possess the required educational qualifications and, where applicable, professional licences.

Male applicants must be at least 1.65 metres tall, while female applicants must be at least 1.58 metres tall.

The Corps urged candidates to declare all qualifications during the recruitment process.

“Ensure that all certificates and qualifications are declared and presented at the point of recruitment, as undeclared qualifications will not be accepted for future career progression in the Corps,” the notice said.

It further stated that applicants: “must be of good character, free from financial indebtedness, and must not have been convicted of any criminal offence.”

The FRSC also said applicants must not have tattoos on any part of their bodies and should use their personal email addresses and telephone numbers when completing the online application.

Pregnant women were advised not to apply for the recruitment exercise.

Reiterating its warning against fraud, the corps stressed that no payment is required at any stage of the exercise.

“This recruitment is absolutely free. Interested applicants should beware of fraudsters,” the notice stated.
