From your early days as an Optometrist and Ocular Pathologist in the Nigerian Air force Medical Services, to your distinguished career in diplomacy as an Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, you have consistently demonstrated excellence, integrity and vision.
Your time as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Hungary and Netherlands as well as your leadership at the international level as Permanent Representative to key organisations, including Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), International Criminal Court (ICC), International Court of Justice (ICJ), Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) and Common Funds for Commodities (CFC), have significantly shaped global diplomacy and fostered cooperation in the most challenging of arenas.
Your commitment to multilateral diplomacy and your tireless efforts in advancing global peace and security have earned you respect and admiration across continents.
Whether as a state commissioner in the strategic corridors of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology or as the Chairperson of the OPCW’s Executive Council, you have left an indelible mark, working diligently to build bridges, strengthen international frameworks and address the global challenges of our time.
As you celebrate this incredible milestone today, may you reflect with pride on the legacy you have created and the countless lives you have touched through your leadership. Your wisdom, dedication and unwavering commitment to the betterment of humanity are qualities that will continue to inspire all who know you.
