Nigeria’s multiple award-winning singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, professionally known as Wizkid, lost his handset in the early hours of today.

The Frontier reports that the 34 years old father of two boys surprised the organisers of an all-night Yuletide musical show with his attendance.

At some point in the show, the prolific singer volunteered to go on stage to perform some of his hit songs including Joro, Ojuelegba as well as some tracks from his latest album, Morayo.

Our correspondent who was at the jam-packed open show organised by NATIVE Magazine and held at Sol Beach located in Elegushi area of Victoria Island, Lagos, reports that while Wizkid was performing, his iPhone 16 Pro fell off his pocket, dropped in the crowd and disappeared.

“At the end of his performance, Wizkid suddenly realised that his phone had dropped off into the crowd. He begged whoever saw the phone to bring it to him. He offered N5 million as ransom while his disc jockey added N2 million, making it a total of N7 million,” reports our correspondent.

But up till the time of filing this report, nobody had shown up with the phone.

The Frontier reports that the market value of the handset is about N3.5million.
