Fans celebrate legendary singer Tuface Idibia at 50

Fans of Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tuface or 2Baba, have continued to celebrate him with goodwill messages as he turns 50.

The supporters and admirers of the “African Queen” crooner yesterday flooded social media platforms with his photos and congratulatory messages, hailing him as a true Nigerian music icon, reports NAN.

@iamprinzsheddy wrote,“Happy birthday Sir 2baba. I love you sir and thank you so much for all the childhood memories.”

@beautifulfacesbyalexandra, on instagram wrote“Congratulations 2baba Keep growing in God’s hands. Golden jubilee.”

@superpee_ng posted , “Happy 50th birthday legend @official2baba, May God continue to bless you with good health, joy, and inspiration. Wishing you many more years of greatness and happiness.”

@levelss90 posted, “@official2baba May this special day bring you as much joy as your songs have brought to millions. Keep creating, keep inspiring.”

Also, @The Kulture Spot said “Here’s to 50 years of greatness and many more years of legendary vibes. A Happy birthday @official2baba AKA “A Guy”

@mc_lively wrote,“Happy birthday GOD OF MUSIC!!!!”

@ewatomi_toh__baddest wrote,“Happy birthday sir wishingyou all the best in lifetime success and prosperity amen”

Earlier, the wife of the music superstar, Natasha Osawaru, took to her Instagram page to pour glowing tributes on her husband as he marks the Golden Jubilee.

Osawaru, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo House of Assembly, described the music superstar as “one of the greatest gifts ever.”

She wrote:“Happy birthday to the love of my life. You are 50!!!!! Oh wow!!!!!! You spaced me with 20 years and you look younger than I do…

“Innocent Ujah Idibia my husband… words cannot express the joy you’ve brought into my life. My joy is complete with you in it.”

“Baby I want to spend each day loving you and caring for you for the rest of my life. I love you and happy birthday my baby @official2baba”

Innocent Idibia, born on September 18, 1975, hails from the Idoma ethnic group in Benue State.

He was part of the influential hip-hop group Plantashun Boyz, which released two albums in the early 2000s before disbanding in 2004.

After the group’s separation, he launched his solo career, releasing his debut album, ‘Face 2 Face’ in 2004.

He, however, gained popularity on the global stage with his 2004 multi-award-wining hit single “African Queen”.

Some of his accolades in music include MTV Europe Music Award, MTV Africa Music Awards, the MOBO Awards, Nigeria Entertainment Awards, among others.
