Final home journey of former Anambra Governor Ezeife kicks off

The programme of events for the funeral rites of former Anambra State governor, Okwadike Dr Pius Chukwuemeka Ezeife has been released.

According to the programme announced by the Ezeife National Burial Committee and made available to The Frontier, Service of Songs will hold at the National Christian Center (NCC), Abuja next week, Friday, April 12, 2024.

Lying-in-state at the Exco chambers, Government House, Awka and Interdenominational Service of Songs/Thanksgiving as well as Day of Tributes will take place on April 19, 2024.

The statement co-signed by Chairman National Burial Committee, His Excellency Dr Ekwesiliezie Nwodo and the head of Ezeife Dynasty, Chief Rob Nwakire Ezeife, states that Celebration of Life and Times of Okwadike tagged “Okwadike Day” will hold on Saturday April, 13, 2024 at Eagles Square, Abuja.

The burial/ commendation service will hold Saturday, April 20 at Okwadike country home, Igboukwu, Aguata LGA, Anambra State while the Outing/Thanksgiving Service will take place on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at The Salvation Army, Igboukwu Corps, Anambra West Division.

Meanwhile, a Documentary tiled, “The Life and Legacy of Chukwuemeka Ezeife” has been produced to highlight the life of the great politician, philanthropist and Special Adviser on Political Affairs to former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

The entire crew of The Frontier prays for the gentle soul of Okwadike, a good friend of the House, to rest in perfect peace.
