A former chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Oladimeji Fabiyi, has been inaugurated as the Deputy National Financial Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The nomination of Fabiyi, the pioneer financial officer of the PDP, was ratified by the Southwest zonal caucus of the ADC at the party’s meeting held in Ibadan on Tuesday, reports Daily Independent.

Other officials of the ADC whose nominations were ratified at the Ibadan Southwest meeting include Mr Akinbowale Omole (National Vice Chairman SouthWest), Capt. Tunji Shelle (National Director of Communication & Programmes) and Alh. Kafilat Olayiwola (Deputy National Woman Leader).

Others are Arc. Bashir Lawal (Assistant National Secretary, Diversity & Inclusion Secretary), Prof. Bode Ayorinde (Assistant National Organising Secretary), Mrs Yidiat Oseni (Deputy Coordinator, Diaspora), Olufemi Adeleye, and Lady Lydia Olufunmiloye (Assistant National Woman Leader).

The National Secretary of the ADC and former Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, while congratulating the new National and Zonal officers of the party, admonished them to work in the overall interest of the party.

He maintained that the ADC is being positively positioned to rescue Nigeria from the grip of the ruinous APC.

“The task ahead is enormous; we must be ready to lead Nigerians out of the woods,” he charged.

Fabiyi, who spoke on behalf of the new executives, commended the exemplary leadership of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and promised the party leadership that the officers will be dedicated to the success of the party.
