Governor declares 3-day mourning for late Ondo SSG

•Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on a condolence visit to the wife of the late SSG, Temitayo Oluwatuyi

Ondo State governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has declared a three-day mourning and prayers – from Sunday, January 5 to Tuesday, January 7, in honour of the late Secretary to the State Government, Temitayo Oluwatuyi.

The governor made this declaration when he led members of the State Executive Council on a condolence visit to the wife of the late Oluwatuyi and members of his family at their residence in Akure yesterday, reports Channels TV.

Mr Oluwatuyi died on Saturday, at a hospital in Akure, while receiving treatment after surviving a road accident in December, 2024.

In his condolence speech, Aiyedatiwa noted that the late Oluwatuyi was a recurring decimal in the politics and governance of Ondo State, adding that the history of the state will not be complete without a mention of his impacts.

He extolled the virtues of Oluwatuyi, describing him as a complete gentleman who conducted his public and private life with decorum and humility.

The governor prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and promised the support of the government for the family at this difficult time.
