•Senate President Godswill Akpabio (C)
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has described the State’s progressive movement as a reunification of Akwa Ibom with Nigeria.
Speaking at the grand reception for Governor Umo Eno into the All Progressive Congress (APC), Senator Akpabio described the Governor as a man of his word, a man of integrity and pure heart, and assured that with the progressive movement, the state will get more than it has asked for from the centre.

Senator Akpabio commended Governor Eno for his laudable achievements within two years in office, especially for the peace and unity amongst the people, and the unification of the state with the government at the centre, which, he said, were unmatched.

“This is not just political movement but political maturity; because you have placed unity above party politics. You have chosen partnership over partisanship.
“Today, you are not coming to add to number, but to add value to our party. So let’s move from handshake to hard work, from celebration to collaboration. We will insist that Akwa Ibom be given rightful place,” he said.
