INSIDE AKWA IBOM TODAY: A’Ibom will never regret joining APC – President Tinubu

The FrontierThe FrontierJune 22, 2025 2031 Minutes read0

•Vice President Shettima (C)

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State and people of the State that they will never regret their decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).

President Tinubu gave the assurance at the Grand Reception of the governor into the APC yesterday, Saturday June 21, 2025, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.

The president who was represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, said the decision of the Governor will impact positively on the people of the State and the State generally.

While saying his administration believes in building bridges of development and not walls, and in mending fences rather than building new ones, the president assured that the APC led federal government will ‘ride and rise’ with Akwa Ibom State.

“We are here because we know that Political party is more than slogans on a banner, but about the people, the people are the party. When APC was conceived, the odds were against us but we endured and overcame.

“President Tinubu stood alone and turned isolation to innovation. While others traded their principles for a place in their oppressor’s table, he stirred the course and built an alternative.

“I am telling you this, Governor Umo Eno and your co-travellers to know that President Tinubu is a bridge builder and your decision to come to the APC is one that you will never regret it.

“Mr President asked me to assure you personally, that no one will question your place here, the party is your home, you would not be humiliated, you would not be forsaken. We are your brothers and sisters, in high ties and low ebbs,” he said.
