How my SS2 student son was brutally murdered — Journalist

The FrontierThe FrontierFebruary 22, 2025 1991 Minutes read0

A journalist, Musa Muhammed, explained how his son, an SS2 student at Government Technical College Malali, in Kaduna North Local Government Area was brutally murdered last week by unknown gunmen.

This was even as he was calling for a comprehensive investigation over the gruesome murder of his son, reports Saturday Tribune.

He made his position known while confirming the death of his son in a statement he made available to journalists in Kaduna.

Muhammed who said the corpse of his son was found on the school premises explained that the incident occurred on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

He pointed out that he “was brutally murdered by an unknown person.

“Ahmed Musa’s body was found within the Government Technical College Malali, Kaduna school premises with physical signs of brutalisation and strangulation.”

The father of the deceased called for a comprehensive investigation to uncover those behind his death, saying, “I also call for adequate compensation from those found to have had a hand in the death of Ahmed Musa.

“Ahmed Musa, being the only son of his mother, his death has dealt a decisive blow to the family.”

Meanwhile, in a petition addressed to the governor, titled, “Urgent Appeal for Justice in the Murder of One of Our Member’s Sons (Ahmed Musa) at Technical School Malali,” by the members of the Kaduna Doka Development Association (KDDA) expressed their sorrow and urgent plea for justice.

The petition posited that “We, the members of the Kaduna Doka Development Association (KDDA), write to you with profound sorrow and an urgent plea for justice following the tragic and senseless murder of Ahmed Musa, the son of one of our esteemed members, Alhaji Musa, at Technical School Malali.”

The Chairman of the KDDA, Sani Rabiu Bako, pointed out that “this heinous act has not only devastated the victim’s family but has also deeply affected our entire community.”

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State Council, led by its Chairman, Abdulgafar Alabelewe has also called for a probe over the barbaric act.

Reacting to the murder, the spokesman of the Police Command, DSP Mansir Hassan, said, “Yes, we are investigating the matter. The Commissioner of Police has directed a full investigation into the issue.”
