Super Falcons coach, Justin Madugu has apologised to Nigerians following the team’s 1-0 loss to Cameroon in the quarter-final of the Women’s African Cup of Nations yesterday.
Madugu, while fielding questions from journalists after the match, said that he takes full responsibility for the loss.
Following the defeat, the 10-time WAFCON winners failed to pick up an automatic qualification for the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
They will not need to pick up a ticket through a playoff.
