The Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, has sentenced 14 Chinese nationals to prison for cyberterrorism and internet fraud.

Justice Daniel Osiagor delivered the judgment today, Friday, June 27, 2025, following their prosecution by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), reports The Nation.

The convicted individuals are Su Zong Gen, Li Zhong Chang, Chen Gui Ping, Li Xiang Long, San Feng Zhang, Jia Yang, Jia Zhi Hao, Liu Chuang, Yu Hai Ging, Zhao Xiao Liang, Dai Li, Tao Kun, Mao Bu Yi, and Zhao Zi Cheng.

The EFCC arraigned the defendants on charges bordering on cybercrimes, alleging they were part of a syndicate engaged in large-scale internet fraud and activities deemed as cyberterrorism against individuals and businesses.
