I’m ready for new beginnings, says Tuface’s estranged wife Annie Macaulay

Popular actress, Annie Macaulay, has opened up about the phase she is currently experiencing in life.

In an interview with our correspondent at the 17th Headies, she revealed that she wore a green outfit because it symbolised a fresh start, reports Saturday PUNCH.

She said, “I feel amazing. I was styled by Medlin’s boss and I am wearing Ankara of course. I love green. Green is a new beginning and the land is green.”

When asked if the outfit symbolises the current phase she is in life, she responded, ”Well, Green is a new beginning and the land is green.”

The actress appeared radiant in a stunning ankara two-piece outfit, which she paired with a bright green jacket.

However, her appearance was only a prelude to what happened when she stepped on stage to present the award for “Best Afrobeat Singer of the Year”.

While introducing herself, Annie almost used her estranged husband’s surname, Idibia. She said, “Annie Idi… Oh sorry, Annie Macaulay. Hey, single ladies!”

Her statement, made amid cheers from the audience, made it evident that she was reclaiming her maiden name, Macaulay.

Recall that on January 26, 2025, 2Baba announced their separation after nearly 12 years of marriage. He later made headlines with a public proposal to his new partner and Edo lawmaker, Natasha Osawaru.

Despite the turbulent end to her marriage, Annie has maintained silence on the matter. Rather, she has chosen to focus on her healing and personal growth.

At the moment, she is preparing for a wellness retreat in Dubai, themed “Annie’s Journey.”
