Unknown gunmen today attacked a police checkpoint at Ormatta junction, Uruagu, Nnewi in Anambra State.
A source informed The Frontier that the attack which took place this morning claimed the life of one policeman while his other colleagues on duty were seriously injured.
A video obtained by The Frontier shows a bullet-ridden police vehicle and the dead police officer, just as the residents who trooped out to the scene of the incident after the deadly attack were crying and lamenting.

The police authorities in Anambra State were yet to confirm the attack as at press time.
