•Lagbaja’s remains

The body of the late Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja has arrived at the Nigerian Air Force wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

The body was received by soldiers of the Guards Brigade, who are set to pay their last respects to Lagbaja. It arrived at exactly 9 am.

The Nigerian Army on Tuesday said the remains of Lagbaja would be interred tomorrow.

Lagbaja, who was appointed by the President on June 19, 2023, with other Service Chiefs, died on November 6, 2024.
