JUST IN: Tinubu, Shettima, governors in closed-door meeting at Aso Villa

•Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu is currently in a closed-door meeting with Vice President Kashim Shettima and some state governors in his office at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

In the meeting are the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara; Anambra State governor, Charles Soludo; Usman Ododo of Kogi and Cross River State governor, Bassey Otu.

Even though the agenda was not known at the time of this report, it followed an earlier meeting with leaders of the organized labour presided over by the president over the ongoing new national minimum wage agitation.

The meeting is also coming at the heels of the Supreme Court judgement granting financial autonomy to local government councils.
