JUST IN: Varsity students involved in auto crash

The FrontierThe FrontierJuly 18, 2024 3050 Minutes read0

Many students of the University of Ilorin sustained various injuries in a single auto accident along the university road this afternoon.

It was gathered that the accident, involving a small commercial bus commonly known as “Korope”, was caused by a tire blowout while the bus was in motion, reports Daily Independent.

It was also reported that the vehicular collision, which took place near the university entrance, prompted some of the university security personnel to intervene and manage the situation.

An onlooker mentioned that one of the accident victims lost a limb, while another female casualty was observed to be unconscious on the road.

The university’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kunle Akogun, verified the incident, stating that there were no fatalities.

Akogun mentioned that the individuals involved in the accident were receiving medical attention at the university clinic.

A video circulating in the Ilorin metropolis today depicted the aftermath of the accident, showing the injured individuals on the ground in agony.
