Missing hyena captured, returned to Jos wildlife park

The FrontierThe FrontierJuly 9, 2024 2460 Minutes read0

The management of Plateau State Tourism Corporation announced that the missing hyena from Jos Wildlife Park has been successfully found, tranquillized, captured, and safely returned to its enclosure.

In a statement issued in Jos, the state capital, General Manager Chuwang Pwajok expressed gratitude to the public for their calm and cooperation during the search and rescue efforts.

“We deeply appreciate the general public for remaining calm and cooperative. This has greatly assisted in the search and rescue of the animal,” Pwajok stated.

The incident began when the Plateau State Tourism Corporation reported that a hyena had escaped from the Jos Wildlife Park.

The dedicated team of game guards and park rangers, with the assistance of drone technology, initiated an immediate search and tracking operation.

The corporation assured the public that all necessary measures were being taken to locate the escaped animal and ensure its safe return.
