The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has dislodged a powerful drug cartel in Mushin, a suburb of Lagos.
The Frontier exclusively reports that the sting operation was carried out by the Agency in the early morning hours of yesterday, Sunday, June 14, 2026.
According to our source who lives in the neighborhood and preferred anonymity, at about 2am of yesterday, operatives of the Agency invaded a two-room apartment used by the syndicate as a warehouse located at 11, Adegbite street in the Mushin area of Lagos where they stored the illicit drugs, including Tramadol, cannabis and others in bags.
“The NDLEA operatives must have acted on information. About eight of them came in the early morning of today (Sunday), at about 2am. They invaded the entire premises which is occupied by other tenants. They were pointing torchlights as there was no electricity in the area by the time they came. They searched everywhere and eventually went straight to the two-room apartment where the hard drugs were stored. They later carted away about 20 bags of the illicit substances,” said our source.
According to our source, no arrests were made as the owners of the hard drugs were not around at that time of the night.
Efforts made by our correspondent to confirm the night operation by the spokesman of the Agency were not successful at the time of filing this report.
