New logo: Osun NNPP dissociates self from South West PRO

The FrontierThe FrontierApril 17, 2024 2351 Minutes read0

Osun State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has said it’s not in support of the stand of Mr Kilamuwaye Badmus, who is the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the party in the South West on the party’s new logo.

The National Executive Council of the party had during its last congress in Abuja introduced new logo for the party, reports Daily Sun.

But Kilamuwaye, in a press statement faulted the plan to change the NNPP’s logo, insisting that it was an overnight move ‘Which is not acceptable to the members of the party in the South West.”

Kilamuwa said the plan to change the logo was not officially passed to the members to seek their opinions and cannot stand the test of time.

But the Osun state chapter of the NNPP through its Publicity Secretary, Comrade Bolaji Akinyode, noted that due process was followed before the endorsement of the new logo.

Akinyode stressed that there is no iota of truth in the insinuation that Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is working to hijack the party structure by announcing the trade mark of Kwankwasiyya colour, saying that Kwakwanso remains a patriotic member of NNPP by all indications.

Akinyode said Governor Abba Yusuff of Kano State is the party’s selling point and deserves no distraction.

He assured the people of Osun State to keep hope alive as NNPP is set to take over the governance from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state come 2026.
