Ondo PDP primary: Delegates accreditation begins

The accreditation of delegates for the primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State has begun.

The primary is aimed at electing the opposition party’s candidate for the November governorship election in the state, reports The Nation.

The exercise which is taking place at the International Culture and Event Centre (Dome), will host 627 delegates to elect the party’s governorship flag-bearer.

The seven aspirants are a former deputy governor of the state, Agboola Ajayi; a former Secretary-General of the pan-Yoruba socio-political association, Chief Olusola Ebiseni; a former member of the House of Representatives, Kolade Akinjo; a former Commissioner for Information, John Mafo.

Others include Adeolu Akinwumi, Bamidele Akingboye and Bosun Arebuwa.
