One-year-old girl accused of witchcraft, abandoned inside bush

•Abandoned child

A one-year-old girl has been accused of witchcraft and was abandoned inside the bush in Akwa Ibom.

Anja Ringgren Loven, a helper from Denmark, wrote it on Facebook yesterday, Thursday, March 28.

She said the little girl was very sick when they found her. After getting a call for help, Anja’s team quickly went to the village, reports Nigerian Tribune.

When they arrived, they saw the little girl was in a terrible condition. She is only about a year old and was abandoned there.

Anja explained that in that area, when people think a child is a witch, they leave them in the bushes to die.

But Anja and her team didn’t leave her. They took her to Land of Hope, where they take care of kids.

Anja asked for help on Facebook to pay for the girl’s medical treatment.
