Political parties re-elect Mgbudem as IPAC national secretary

Political parties and members of the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) yesterday iterated their confidence in the political advisory body with the reelection of Accord Party`s National Chairman, Barr Maxwell Mgbudem, as the national secretary of IPAC.

IPAC is the umbrella body of all registered political parties in Nigeria, reports Daily Independent.

At the election which was conducted yesterday, at the IPAC National Secretariat in Abuja and monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the parties also elected other officials for IPAC to include Dr Yusuf Mamman Dantalle – National Chairman, Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim – Deputy National Chairman, and Maryam Garba Bagel – Deputy National Secretary.

Others are Dr Dipo Olayoku – National Treasurer, Chinyere Kalu – National Organising Secretary, Dr Umar Mohammed – National Financial Secretary, Martins Egbeola – National Publicity Secretary and Barr. Obed Agu – National Legal Adviser

Barr Mgbudem was first elected national secretary on December 15, 2023 for a two-year tenure. He earlier served as the Deputy National Chairman of the Council.

Barr Mgbudem who commended leaders of political parties for the confidence reposed in him to serve the council for a second term as its scribe, also commended the Electoral Committee led by Chief Dan Nwanyanwu for the success of the exercise promising to take the new executive will take Council to the next level.
