•Oluremi Tinubu

Wife of Nigeria’s President, Oluremi Tinubu, met with United States President, Donald Trump, yesterday.

Mrs Tinubu was invited to join President Trump on stage at the 74th Annual National Prayer Breakfast held on Capitol Hill, Washington, DC, reports Daily Trust.

The US president publicly acknowledged her presence and paid tribute to her role as both Nigeria’s First Lady and a religious leader.

Addressing the audience amid applause, Trump said: “We’re honoured to be joined today by the First Lady of Nigeria, who also happens to serve as a Christian pastor at the largest church in Nigeria. A very respected woman. First Lady, please, where are you? Thank you very much.”

The prayer breakfast is an annual gathering that brings together political leaders, religious figures and invited guests to reflect on faith, leadership and national unity.
