REVEALED: ‘We are officially married’ – Top actress replies critics of her love message to Verydarkman

•Actress Sarah Martins and VeryDarkMan

Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has fired back at critics who trolled her for publicly expressing love for controversial social media activist, Verydarkman.

The drama began after Verydarkman regained his freedom earlier in the week, reports Saturday Vanguard.

Taking to Instagram, Sarah Martins celebrated his return, describing him as her “sweet husband” and confessing that his release “made her night better.”

Her affectionate post quickly triggered a wave of backlash online, with many social media users mocking her bold declaration and questioning her intentions.

However, reports that Sarah is not backing down given her determination to sustain the romance with VeryDarkMan at least within the space of Nigerian news media.

Responding via another Instagram post, the Sarah Martins clapped back at critics, stressing that her love for Verydarkman — real name Vincent Martins Otse — is genuine. She also pointed out a “sign” that they’re meant to be together: the shared surname.

“I see all the hate comments on Instablog concerning my undying love for my Prince Charming VDM,” she wrote. “In case you haven’t noticed, I have his last name — Sarah Martins… Vincent Martins. We are officially married in my heart. If you can’t wish us well, please leave us alone.”

In a dramatic sign-off, she added, “It’s 2am and I’m still awake thinking of my baby. Y’all, he’s mine, period.”

While some netizens continue to mock her public affection, others have joined in cheering her on, making the unlikely pairing a trending topic across platforms.
