Rivers Administrator not recognised by Constitution – Human rights lawyer Falana

The FrontierThe FrontierMarch 20, 2025 3500 Minutes read0

•Falana and Tinubu

Human rights lawyer Femi Falana says the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria does not recognise the newly sworn-in Sole Administrator for Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-ete Ibas (rtd.).

The senior advocate was a guest on Channels Television last night.

Falana also said Section 305 of the constitution does not empower President Bola Tinubu to suspend or remove a sitting governor as he did in the case of Siminalayi Fubara.
