ROMANCE GONE SOUR: I want an end to my 1-year-old marriage to my husband

The FrontierThe FrontierNovember 30, 2024 1700 Minutes read0

A housewife, Kafilat AbdulLateef, has asked an Area Court in Centre-Igboro, Ilorin, Kwara State, to dissolve her one-year-old marriage to her husband, Bukoye Abdullateef.

Kalifat told the court that she was no longer interested in their marriage due to lack of love and care, reports NAN.

She also asked for the custody of the only child of the marriage and a monthly support fee of N50,000.

The husband, however, said that he was still interested in their marriage and didn’t want divorce.

The presiding judge, Toyin Aluko, after listening to both parties, said it was disturbing that young couples keep asking for divorce.

Aluko urged the two parties to tolerate each other and try to live together in peace.

The court adjourned the case until January 14.
