A combine team of security operatives, attached to Ughelli A division has recovered a decomposing male corpse suspected to be kidnapped victim along Ogor-Evwreni axis of the East -West road in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

Though the report was sketchy, it was gathered that the corpse was recovered in a forest along Ogor /Evwreni axis of the East-West in Ughelli North Local Government Area, reports Daily Independent.

A security source attached Ughelli Area command, who confirmed and pleaded to be anonymous said, they got wind of the incident , “We got the information that a corpse of an unidentified man was dumped at a nearby bush in the area.

“When we got to the scene, we saw a red motorcycle helmet by the side of the unidentified deceased that was already decomposing without a motorcycle.

The police is yet to get any report of a missing person before but we are suspecting that the young man may have been kidnapped and killed in the process and his motorcycle stolen by his assailants.

Contacted, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Edafe Bright said, “I am not aware of it but I will find out and get back to you,” which he never did as at the time of this report.
