Social critic VeryDarkMan threatens lawsuit against popular church over ‘misleading’ testimonies

Nigerian activist and social critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has threatened lawsuit against the Lord’s Chosen Church, following a series of misleading testimonies shared by church members.

VDM has urged the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to investigate these claims, accusing the church of spreading exaggerated and misleading narratives to its congregation, reports Nigerian Tribune.

His concerns were sparked by a viral testimony from last week, where a woman claimed to have single-handedly disarmed four armed robbers during an attack, seizing what she described as an “AK-27.” The church’s pastor later corrected her, clarifying that the weapon was an AK-47.

In a video posted on Instagram, VDM expressed his frustration over the controversial testimonies, highlighting what he perceives as growing absurdity in the church’s narratives.

He captioned the video:“CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA, get ready for me ooo. This nonsense needs to stop. Now they’re even claiming to have spiritual iron in their heads? All these Chosen members…”

VDM called for immediate action, warning that he is prepared to take legal steps to address what he sees as the church’s exploitation of gullible believers.
