TRAGEDY: 3 feared dead as container truck falls on tricycle

The FrontierThe FrontierJanuary 7, 2025 3180 Minutes read0

•Scene of the accident

Three persons have reportedly lost their lives in Ogbomoso today when a container-laden truck lost control and fell on a commercial tricycle at Takie Junction.

It was gathered that the articulated vehicle lost control while navigating a bend, causing the container to topple and crush the tricycle, known as Keke Marwa, reports Daily Independent.

An eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity said that two female passengers and the tricycle rider were trapped under the container, saying rescue efforts later confirmed all three victims had died.

Meanwhile, efforts are underway to remove the container from the road to avert further accidents and restore traffic flow in the area.

Authorities have urged motorists to exercise caution while approaching the affected section of the road.
