17-year-old boy buried in shallow grave inside Lagos church

The police have exhumed the corpse of a 17-year-old boy that was buried in a shallow grave inside a church in the Ipaja area of Lagos State.

The victim, Adeolu Olubade, was suspected to have been killed and buried inside Jesus Assembly on Omohuwa Street, Ejigbo, on August 2, 2024, reports Daily Trust.

It was gathered that the discovery of the grave was reported at the station by the deceased’s cousin.

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed the incidents, said, “Investigation revealed that the deceased was suspected to have been killed between 4pm and 7pm of of August 2, 2024. The body was exhumed on August 9, 2024.

“The suspect has been arrested. Homicide detectives have taken over the case. The shovel with which the grave was dug was recovered and taken to the station as an exhibit.”
