6 Delta House of Reps members leave PDP for APC

Six members of the House of Representatives from Delta State today announced their defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Similarly, two federal lawmakers from Enugu State also dumped the Labour Party (LP) for the PDP, reports The Guardian.

Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas, announced the defections during today’s plenary session.

The Delta Reps who defected from the PDP included Victor Nwokolo, Julius Pondi, Thomas Ereyitomi, Nicholas Mutual, Ukodhiko Jonathan, and Nnamdi Ezechi.

While the defectors from Enugu State are Mark Obetta and Rep. Denis Nnamdi.

In seperate letters, the lawmakers said they decided to quit their former parties due to the unresolved crisis and parallel leadership in the state.
