•Destiny Etiko

In a candid social media post, renowned Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko has voiced her concerns over the public’s preoccupation with the popular reality show Big Brother Naija (BBN), especially in light of the increasing insecurity plaguing the country.

Expressing her disappointment, Etiko questioned how people could still find joy in watching BBN while the nation grapples with serious issues.

She remarked, “E don red for our country and I still Dey see some people Dey happy about BBN. Hmmmmm nawa o.”

Etiko, who has consistently used her platform to speak out on social issues, emphasised the importance of raising one’s voice against the prevailing challenges.

She urged, “If u guys do not complain, Den who am I to do so?”

Her post also touched on the growing insecurity, noting, “crime is now happening everywhere” and pointing out the unsettling calm with which people seem to accept this new normal.

“Insecurity has become the order of the day and everyone is literally calm,” she lamented.
