•John Chuma Nwosu
As the date for party primaries for various political parties that will participate in the November governorship election in Anambra approaches, the leading aspirant in Labour Party (LP), Mr. John Chuma Nwosu, has predicted that the election will be a test case for the party.
Addressing party supporters in Awka yesterday, Nwosu also said it is gratifying that those who are not really Obedient are leaving Labour Party, insisting that, “Obedient Movement is Peter Obi and Peter Obi is the Obidient Movement. He is our leader and we are his disciples. We must never forget that. Where our leader goes, we go with him!”
He expressed happiness that this is happening and that as the Movement is being restructured nationally, Anambra is in the fray.
According to him, “This is proper, since Anambra is ground-zero and the next battle ground.”
Nwosu called for a joint struggle to salvage Anambra, stressing, “Our State under Soludo is now an eyesore. It is insecure. It has become a fetid dish of crime, criminality and bloodletting. This has to change. Such carnage has to end!”
He recalled that in 2017, Soludo had stated: “Anambra was not broken. So, why fix it?”, lamenting that presently, Anambra is in its worst possible shape under his (Soludo’s) leadership.
Nwosu maintained that Soludo inherited a broken state and made it worse, adding, “Under his watch, Anambra has regressed economically due to insecurity.
“This lack of leadership has also impacted negatively on the entire South East.”
