BBNaija star Tacha thanks late mum, fans after Guinness World Records win

Reality star, Anita Natacha Akide, famously known as Tacha, has appreciated her family and fans who cheered her on when she set out to achieve the feat of being the first Nigerian to break two Guinness World Records in one swoop.

Taking to her Instagram page, the former Big Brother Naija contestant thanked her late mother, stating that she felt her holding her shoulders when her knees were shaking.

“I carried your strength into that room, and I didn’t stop. My team… and my assistant makeup artists… when the lights went out, you stayed. When the pressure got loud, you listened. When I snapped, you understood the big assignment. You smiled, talked, cried, and hyped me till the very last second. From the depth of my heart, thank you. We didn’t just work! We warred,” she wrote.

To her fans, dubbed the Titans, Tacha wrote, “When the world wrote me off, when I was blacklisted for being real, Toucher, authentic, unapologetic, you held me up. You prayed, you posted, you pushed, you defended. You made me your personal project and refused to let me quit. Because you don’t stop, I will never stop.”

Guinness World Record announced during the week that Tacha performed the most cosmetic makeovers in 8 hours (individual) – 82 – and then kept going for the rest of the day to complete the most cosmetic makeovers in 24 hours (individual) – a total of 144.

After setting up her make-up station in Lagos, Nigeria, on October 11 with a glass wall so passersby could watch and cheer her on, she was swarmed by fans desperate to get a makeover from the star.

The body also said that each of her 144 models had to have foundation, concealer, blush, two eyeshadows, mascara, lip liner and gloss, and finishing powder applied, as well as their eyebrows done.
