The Supreme Court has affirmed the election of Ahmed Aliyu as Sokoto State governor.

Reading the lead judgment, Justice Tijani Abubakar dismissed the appeal by the PDP and its governorship candidate, Saidu Umar, agreeing with the reasoning of the court below.
