Edo govt invites Okpebholo’s team for take over notes

The FrontierThe FrontierOctober 18, 2024 1730 Minutes read0

•Governor-elect, Monday Okpebholo

Ahead of the handing over of government to the Edo State governor-elect, Monday Okpebholo, scheduled for November 12, 2024, Governor Godwin Obaseki has invited his team to come forward and familiarise themselves with the nuances of governance and be fully enlightened by the outgoing administration.

The governor wondered why the governor-elect and his team still carry on as though they were still in campaign mode when they ought to be more concerned about being brought up to date by the government, reports Channels TV.

In a statement signed by Chris Nehikhare, the commissioner of communication and orientation, the governor expressed his displeasure over comments credited to an unnamed special assistant to the governor-elect.

Governor Obaseki alleged that the said special assistant has made very spurious comments against the government of Edo State.

He charged the people of the state to disregard such comments being made by the Okpebholo’s team, and that his government is ready to carry on dutifully until the 12th of November 2024, which is the terminal date of his administration.
