His Royal Highness, the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, has approved the turbanning of three distinguished sons of Katsina State, honoring their contributions to societal development and dedication to community service.

The honourees, all members of the esteemed Muhammadu Dikko dynasty renowned for leadership and public service, will receive traditional titles at a ceremony celebrating both cultural heritage and civic achievement, reports Daily Trust.

According to a letter from the Katsina Emirate Council dated March 31, 2026, and signed by Alhaji Isah Ali Kankia, Secretary of the Council, the approval was formally communicated to the Governor’s Special Adviser on Emirate Affairs.

The three persons to be turbanned are Alhaji Ahmad Abdulmuminini Kabir Usman as Hakimin Dankama (Dan-Majen Katsina), son of His Royal Highness the Emir of Katsina; Alhaji Muhammad Dikko Umar, son of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, as Hakimin Radda (Gwagwaren Katsina); and Alhaji Abubakar Dardisu as Hakimin Muduru (Sarkin Mudurun Katsina).

The ceremony will take place on May 2, 2026, at the Emir’s Palace. Chairman of the media publicity committee Engr. Surajo Yazid Abukur, said the event will fully reflect the dignity, tradition, and cultural significance of what he called a prestigious occasion.
