Extended legal process in US mere allegations – Air Peace insists

•Allen Onyema

The Chairman and Chief of Finance & Administration of Air Peace, Dr. Allen Onyema and Mrs. Ejiro Eghagha, have debunked violation of United States law despite the allegations levelled against the duo.

The airline in a statement by its management, described the extended legal process stemming from earlier accusations of financial misdeeds that dated back several years to “mere allegations,” stressing that the case was still in court.

The statement hinted that the airline was aware of the recent reports in line with the latest legal charges filed by the U.S. Department of Justice.

It expressed worry that this may have raised concerns, but assured that it would address these reports directly.

The statement emphasised that its legal team was fully engaged with the matter and was working tirelessly to ensure that justice prevailed.

The statement added: “We remain confident that through due process, the truth will be revealed, and our CEO and co-defendant will be exonerated.

“It is important to note that Dr. Onyema and his legal team have consistently cooperated with authorities throughout this process, and Air Peace continues to operate without disruption, upholding our commitment to delivering top-notch services to our valued customers.”

The airline reiterated that these legal proceedings would not impact the safety, reliability or day-to-day operations of Air Peace.

It also maintained that the dedication and focus of its staff remained steadfast as it continued to provide the public with the best aviation experience in Nigeria and beyond.

“We thank our customers and flying public for your continued support and understanding during this time, and we remain committed to serving you with excellence and integrity,” the statement added.
