Governorship elections: PDP inaugurates Edo, Ondo campaign councils tomorrow

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has approved the inauguration of new Governorship Election National Campaign Councils ahead of the Edo and Ondo states elections.

The inauguration is set to take place tomorrow, Thursday, June 27, with plans to ensure victory in the upcoming elections.

This was disclosed in a statement made available to the press and signed by National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba to the party today.

The statement reads, “PDP to inaugurate Edo, Ondo states governorship election National Campaign Councils tomorrow, June 27, 2024

“The National Working Committee (NWC) of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the exercise of its powers, and under its commitment of ensuring victory for our Party at the upcoming Governorship Elections in Edo and Ondo states, respectively has approved the inauguration of Edo and Ondo State Governorship Election National Campaign Councils as follows:

“Date: Thursday, June 27, 2024.

“Venue: NEC Hall, PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja

“Time: 2 pm Prompt.

“All leaders, critical stakeholders, and members of the Edo and Ondo State Governorship Election National Campaign Councils should take note and be guided accordingly.”

The governorship elections for Edo and Ondo states are scheduled for September 21 and November 16, 2024, respectively.

Meanwhile, Asue Ighodalo emerged as a PDP candidate at Edo State earlier this year, while Ajayi Agboola won the PDP primary at Ondo State.
