HAPPENING NOW: Gridlock as trucks collide on Kara Bridge, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

The FrontierThe FrontierMarch 5, 2026 1220 Minutes read0

•Gridlock on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Motorists and other road users are currently trapped in a gridlock at Kara Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway following an accident involving two trucks.

Eyewitnesses said the incident, which occurred this afternoon, led to heavy congestion as only one lane remains open to motorists, reports Vanguard.

As a result, some drivers have resorted to driving against the flow of traffic, creating further gridlock for incoming vehicles.

Motorists have been urged to exercise patience and obey traffic officers deployed to the area to minimise disruption.
