Japa: Organisations licensed to sponsor work visas for foreigners — UK govt •FULL LIST

The United Kingdom has issued its updated 2025 list of organisations licensed to sponsor skilled workers, creating new opportunities for professionals worldwide, including Nigerians, to work and settle in the country.

As of January 8, 2025, the list now includes 125,880 approved companies, reflecting a significant increase of 26,024 from the 99,856 companies recorded in January 2024, reports Nigerian Tribune.

Key requirements for a skilled worker visa

Nigerians interested in relocating to the UK under the Skilled Worker Visa must meet the following criteria:

Employment by an Approved Sponsor: Work for a UK employer approved by the Home Office.

Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS): Obtain a CoS detailing the job offered in the UK.

Eligible Occupation: Perform a job listed as eligible for the visa.

Minimum Salary: Earn a salary that meets the threshold for the specific job role.

Sectors open for skilled workers

Professionals in technology, commerce, engineering, media, caregiving, and other sectors are encouraged to explore opportunities
