The nine surveyors abducted last week at a site in Ilu-Abo, Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, have been released.
Sources said a ransom of ₦20 million was paid, reports The Nation.
A brother to the Ejemikin of Akure, High Chief Oluwole Omotayo, Pastor Ajibade Owolanke, confirmed release of the surveyors.
Owolanke said the surveyors were freed last night and were in Akure, the state capital.
