•Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun
The National Judicial Council has nominated Justice Kudirat Motonmori Kekere-Ekun to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointment as the Chief Justice of Nigeria.
The recommendation was made at its 106th Meeting presided over by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola held yesterday and today, August 14 and 15.
It was earlier reported that Ariwoola will formally bow out of office on August 22.
The Council also recommended 28 candidates for appointment as judges of state courts and a candidate for appointment as Kadi of the Sharia Court of the FCT, Abuja to their various governors and Mr. President.
