JUST IN: Tension as varsity students sent out of campus for violating signing off ban •VIDEO

•Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK) main gate

Tension broke out at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, today after the institution moved to enforce its ban on the popular post-examination “signing off” tradition among final-year students.

In a video shared by Facebook user, Okwa C. Ifugo, two yet-to-be-identified female students were sent out of the campus building premises for wearing shirts scribbled with markers.

Recall that the university management had, on Tuesday, announced a ban on the activity in a directive signed by the Registrar, Dr. Chinenye Okeke, reports The PUNCH.

The circular described the practice as one that often leads to chaos, violence, and disruption of normal academic activities.
